i just finished reading what style.com had to share about the events that took place the other night. go here to read it yourself and get a feel for what the atmosphere was like. tommy ton took photos for them too and here are my faves:

of course lady gaga won fashion icon and wowed in a turquoise bob. i have to say between the hair, the train, and the height those shoes gave her she had a really mystical thing about her that i quite enjoyed. other-worldly. liya kebede looked like a goddess, so fresh and airy. i loved the contrast in sevigny's look when it came to both the black and white aspect, as well as the leather and eyelet combo; mixing hard and soft for a dangerous and feminine look. leelee's suit and this shot reminds me of jodie foster, upgraded. and what is there not to love about ms. harper's fantastic dress?

ZOO TIMES!

this past weekend my friends and i had an amazing time at the toronto zoo and i just wanted to share our experience with you. there are quite a few photos i wanna share so feel free to ignore half. this set is all animals. i am going to do a part two documenting our shenanigans so stay tuned!

we started the day a little bit early because we were missing the trainers by like a half hour. there was a large charity event there so the park was really busy for most of the morning. we were also lucky enough to see the elephant one last time before it leaves us. the african penguins are a new addition to the site, and are so much fun to watch! kendra has a problem with snakes so we often had to create a wall to block them from her site. charles (the big gorilla) was in attendance.

i love the penguins! they always look like a bunch of men in tuxes standing around aimlessly, looking in various directions for nothing lol. so quirky!

the polar bear tried so hard to pull this out. even started using his teeth and almost succeeded! so strong, but eventually he gave up.

la bohème nouvelle

i'm pulling a quick outfit post together because glee is on in half and i need to feast before the next epi goes down. so this is a selection of photos from an outfit i put together last week. it was raining so i only wore it in the house. i love that the lace still works with the animal print motif on the shorts. the blazer makes it modern for something i decided to call la bohème nouvelle. and you know, sometimes i quite enjoy a blurry photo. also, please note: i am not wearing any makeup in these photos. if i hadn't put a filter on the picture to make it look all fancy, it might be more noticeable. don't hate!
