A month ago, I worked on Andrea Iyamah's Fall/Winter 2013 campaign video. It is always such an interesting experience to work with incredibly creative people. William Turner, who wrote and directed the film, has such a unique point of view on the world. Check out the video below and more of his amazing work here.

Carly Moore

Shot these images near the end of spring, early summer time but what I really love about this look is that you can continue to wear these pieces into the fall. Denim shirts and ankle boots make great transition pieces when you layer them with your summer wardrobe.

Recently spotted on the Barney's NY website for the Dries Van Noten lookbook, Carly is one to watch! She is one bad ass bish and I can't wait to see if she pops up on any runways for NYFW.

Kyra

This girl is a Swedish stunna at only sixteen!! It was such a pleasure working with her and I can't wait to see her growth. She's got a little Chloe Grace Moretz in her doesn't she?

Kiana and Jess

Two gorgeous new faces with Peggi Lepage came out to play dress-up with myself and Megan Breukelman by the water. Moms were on set and were absolutely a joy. Plus it was fun to work with pieces by TWB Co. and Jordan de Ruiter. I also had to play makeup artist for Kiana, not too bad if I say so myself. Here are a few shots!

Andrea Iyamah Swimwear

A few weeks back I was invited to be a part of the production for Andrea Iyamah's 2013 swimwear campaign. The day was full blown back-to-back shooting. First with the campaign video, followed by the campaign images as well as the product shots for her e-commerce. We had four models, a behind the scenes videographer and a full team of hair, makeup and a styling team. I was very excited to have had a hand in directing the makeup looks for the models as well, it was a great feeling to be able to put my touch on multiple aspects of the shoot. Check out the fashion film below, shot by Willyverse, followed by the behind the scenes video by Andrew Zidichouski.

The collection is inspired by her ethnic background but has a modern twist with unexpected cutouts, neons and colour-blocking. There are so many looks in this collection that I have my eye on once swimsuit season starts. Check out the collection on her website.

Living Doll

I dressed Brittany in some vintage garb for a 50s inspired shoot for Caileigh Kyle last summer. We shot at a really cool house and experimented with cinemagraphs, that you can check out on Caileigh's blog here. It was a fun process. I was very happy with the outcome and the shoot was featured in Issue 8 of Pony Anarchy Magazine.

A Nomad's Diary

This shoot I styled was featured in the October Issue of Ellements Magazine in 2012. The concept was something new for me because it definitely doesn't reflect my personal style but I really wanted to challenge myself and try something new so I went for it. It was actually shot a month or so prior to the actual release of the publication so it really felt more like the fashion industry's pace, shooting fall/winter before the summer was actually over.

I traveled to London, Ontario to work with Maira Tilson, Melanie Richards, Jezzi Rogers and Erica White. It was a great opportunity to get out there and expand my network in another city. Our petite, yet fierce model Rebecca Kwan came out from Toronto and seriously surprised us with her amazing posing skills. She definitely knocked my socks off and we have since become friends. Mai is such a beautiful person, and a great advocate to have. She is so lovely and believes in her teams so much! All of the ladies are amazing and I love them!

Behind the Scenes on Instagram

I like to have fun on set and share what I'm up to on social media. It's all about real time for me. I often post behind the scenes pictures while our teams are shooting as a sneak peek for my followers. If you want to follow along make sure you are plugged in to all of my social media networks like Instagram @theab_ and Twitter @thea_bambina. Check out some of my favourites below.

Q&A with Atlas

In addition to the spread I had in the first issue of Atlas Magazine, I also had a feature interview where my good friend and Editor in Chief Megan Breukleman asked me what the day to day looks like working as a stylist. Check it out below, pages 20-27! And if you didn't get a chance to see the full editorial, continue clicking through, 32-41.

Pirate Bay

I can't tell you exactly when this shoot took place - it was sometime last spring though, overcast, before the sun started coming out. I do remember how I felt about our model that day. Hillary. She has an amazing head of hair (to die for!), beautiful light skin, freckled, and great movement. We put her through the ringer. Teasing her hair and then combing it out, asking her to pose in freezing cold water, and having her climb all over dangerous rocks. Hillary is a real trooper, so relaxed and willing to go there with you to make your vision come to life. I love her, she's a dream.

The ship is one a recognizable spot as you drive down the QEW toward Niagara Falls. Originally from Quebec, it was built in 1914 and made its way here in 1997. The first time I saw it, I remembered it being wood (covered in 1991) but a fire in 2003 would reveal the steel body again. I really responded to the decay of the scenery and the subdued earthy colours around us.

Megan Breukelman shot these images and it was the first time both her and I were trying something moody. Ryerson graduate Sarah Elizabeth had some great pieces to go with the location. Megan was so pleased with the result that she put it in the premiere issue of her online magazine Atlas.

Secret Garden

This summer I also had the opportunity to assist on Imperial Style Group's second shoot with Hamilton Magazine. We were very fortunate to have been able to shoot at the Royal Botanical Gardens with one of our favourite photogs, Daniela Majic. It is always a pleasure getting to spend the day with my team at Imperial and Mark from the magazine. Our friend Brian Gauer at Inspired One shot the behind the scenes video so check that out.

Summer Breeze

It has been much to long since I posted on my blog, but I am back in school now and my social media class has created an opportunity for me to get back on the horse. Now while I am still waiting to receive some more current work, I do have a few older shoots sitting in my back pocket that I can share with you in the mean time.

Shot this little series at the beginning of the summer with Megan Breukelman and Faye Crasto. It was very hot but super fun day with our models Lolly and Candice. We hung out at the park and I dressed them up in some cute floral summery goodness. We were also joined by a sweet little deer feeding in the back ground but we scared her away with our excitement before we could take advantage of it (quel domage).
